Working with Murray Rees of Moloney O'Beirne, and Joey Stenson of Kellbuild for the HSE. Beaumont House, adjacent now to Beaumont Hospital, was Arthur Guinness's first country home. With an 18C core the house received the Regency upgrade under the discerning hand of Francis Johnson. We were engaged, among other historic glazed elements, to conserve this simple yet beautiful lantern. The lantern is above the main, cantilevered timber staircase. It is the crown on a decorative display created in plaster and timber. The plasterwork is being addressed by Smith and Henderson Stuccodores, who are wonderful proponents of their craft.
